Few platforms wear their purpose as plainly as the W461. Stripped of the comfort options and refinement that came to define the G-Wagen's later years, it's the chassis Mercedes-Benz built to survive, not to impress, a body-on-frame construction with solid axles front and rear and a reputation for outlasting whatever was asked of it. This example is a Wolf, the designation Mercedes and the German military settled on for the G-Class built specifically for the Bundeswehr, a vehicle designed from the outset for the kind of duty that leaves no room for compromise.
That military heritage is still the whole point. The Wolf carries a legacy of service earned across decades of deployment, a platform trusted by soldiers precisely because it was never asked to be anything other than dependable. Bringing one home doesn't erase that history, it just gives it a second life, the same rugged foundation now built for the driver who wants it rather than the one who was assigned it.

The front seats were specified in the Vario F, our standard for adjustability and comfort, with armrests added for the kind of long-haul comfort a platform this capable deserves. It's a seat built to match the Wolf's own character, purposeful rather than plush, without asking the driver to sacrifice a single mile of support and comfort to get there.
The fabric is our MB Rodeo Grey, an original-spec Mercedes-Benz factory fabric sourced directly from the Mercedes mill rather than replicated after the fact. It's a fitting choice for a vehicle this true to its factory roots, the genuine article inside a genuine G-Wagen, and a material that has proven especially popular among G-Wagen owners precisely because its factory-correct look and feel are, for many, the entire point.
