Standard Upholstery Configurations
We offer a large selection of standard configurations that work well for a wide variety of vehicles. We keep these standard configurations in stock, ready to ship, in our Portland Oregon warehouse. The standard configurations are typically a cloth center with leatherette bolsters in a complimentary color. Due to the tight compound curves and inflection points on the side bolsters, it is not possible to cover them with most cloth materials, so our bolsters are typically leather or leatherette.

We also sell our fabric by the yard so you can retrim your interior to match.

Upholstery Care
We have partnered with a company called Gyeon that makes top quality vehicle care products.

The first and most important step, is regularly cleaning the leather/leatherette so that you are removing the salts and oils that naturally transfer from your body. You can use Gyeon natural leather cleaner to gently achieve this. After applying the product with the gentle scrubbing applicator, you can soak up the left over material with the soft white microfiber towel. When done properly, the seat will have a matte finish like when it was new.

On the cloth center cushions, you can remove loose dust, etc by blowing it off with compressed air, or cleaning it with a vacuum cleaner. Apply the Gyeon Fabric cleaner with the included towel. Once you see the dirt lifting out of the seat, wipe it off with a clean section of towel and let it air dry.

The next step is protecting the leather/leatherette from UV, for that you use Gyeon leather. Once the seat is dry from step one, you can sparingly wipe down the leather/leatherette portion of the seat with the product.

Note that leatherette should never be conditioned with non-approved leather care products: the greases and oils contained therein accelerate the “softener migration” in PVC leatherette, which leads to a faster brittleness of the leatherette.

Our most popular and breathable fabric, LR02 is a top-quality fabric custom milled exclusively for scheel-mann. The weave has a little bit of texture that allows air movement even while seated. Even in hot climates we've had a lot of positive responses from customers. It's a very versatile and forgiving pattern that looks great in everything from an early 911 to an F150.

Brown Microweave Cloth

S158 is another top-quality fabric, custom milled exclusively for scheel-mann. It's a very durable fabric that has the look and feel of an OE fabric. It's a very versatile and forgiving pattern that has been particularly popular in Toyota Land Cruisers.

MB Rodeo Grey

This is an original spec Mercedes Benz factory fabric, we source this from the Mercedes mill. While it is an item we stock as standard there is an upcharge over the the standard cloth. It offers a similar quality and durability of our Basketweave and Microweave fabrics. It's been particularly popular in G-Wagens and Sprinters.

Grey Basketweave Cloth

This is the same material as LR02 Black Basektweave but in Grey. S242 is a top-quality fabric custom milled exclusively for scheel-mann. Grey Five Bar Cloth

An homage to a Land Rover fabric used in the 300tdi era. Grey Five Bar is the same pattern but a much nicer fabric that is also more durable. It allows a match in some years of Defenders and is a nice durable fabric for any truck owner. The Five Bar Diamond pattern of course it's self an homage to the five bar aluminum tread plate commonly applied to the hoods and wings of Defenders.

Black Net Cloth

A uniquely breathable mesh fabric, N110 is a top-quality fabric custom milled exclusively for scheel-mann. The mesh weave allows air movement even while seated. Even in hot climates we've had a lot of positive responses from customers. Not as forgiving of lint/dust as some of our other materials, we don't stock the N110 Black Net; it is available via custom order.

Seat Body and Bolster Material

Leatherette and Velour

In our standard configurations Leatherette is used on side bolsters for durability and ease of cleaning and to accommodate the tight curvature of the bolster. We use a complimentary cloth for the center cushions of the seat and backrest for comfort.

We also offer a Velour bolster for Special Order Items. Like the leatherette the Velour is able to properly stretch and follow the contour of the bolster.

Seat Body and bolster Material

Real Leather

Genuine leather is the most durable and resilient upholstery material. If you are the type of person who appreciates the look, feel, and durability of leather, you will get great enjoyment from leather seats each time you get into your vehicle.

We can perforate any of our leathers, so that they can be used on the center cushion in the Klima seat.
